Palazzo Martinelli, Monopoli, Italy
We are pleased to present David and Goliath by Antonio Zanchi (1631-1722) at Panorama Monopoli, the second city-wide exhibition organized by ITALICS.
From Thursday, September 1 to Sunday, September 4, our painting will be on display in the splendid Palazzo Martinelli, in dialogue with the artwork Howl by contemporary artist Stanley Whitney.
ITALICS - the consortium that brings together more than sixty of Italy's most influential galleries of ancient, modern, and contemporary art - presents the second edition of Panorama, a city-wide exhibition that this year will be showing more than 70 artworks in one of the most fascinating places on the Adriatic coast: Monopoli.
Curated by Vincenzo de Bellis, associate director and curator for visual arts at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, the itinerary includes 20 exhibition spaces in the historic center of the ancient Apulian seaside village of Monopoli, between Salento and the Valle d'Itria: an itinerary that develops in tune with the architectural and natural landscape. The installations encourage multi-voice dialogues between artists of different generations or eras.
